Get a haircut and a real job

So the goings-on on this here blog have clearly been lacking. Sorry to the one person (is there even one?) Who may have been yearning for more following my freshman post.

All is not lost! There are things in the works (read - in my imaginary notebook) that shall burst into print any day now. I can just feel it.

Here's a Warhol to see you through - I am an Art History student after all.

P.S this is an online tome of beauty, (does anyone else shiver at the mention of a 'lifestyle blog'?) so here are a few of my youtube picks of the week:

Recent Acquisitions #1

OriginsDrink Up Intensive Overnight Mask
After much deliberation regarding face masks, a spirit of the moment purchase left me standing in Mecca $45.00 shorter than when I had walked in. This much hyped mask truly does do what it says on the tin - moisturise. I tend to use this once or twice a week or if things are getting a bit parched. If thats not enough of an incentive, then the smell (oh the smell!) of apricots and oranges being slapped on your face should tip you over the edge.. it did for me.

I have to admit, this bronzer has never been high on my things to try list. Sure, a few swatches at the Stila counter here and there, but after the purchase of my Nars Laguna, definitely not a necessity in the grand scheme of things. That was until one fateful order on StrawberryNet (more on that another time). With my GA Luminous Silk arrived the Stila Sun Shade in 'shade 1' and the ultimate bronzer for us fair-skinned guys and gals. This very finely milled powder may look a tad orange upon first glance, but comes across a completely matte glow to the skin. More akin to a translucent powder in terms of texture, this is one underrated product.

Giorgio Armani - Luminous Silk Foundation
Ah, the ultimate foundation among bloggers. The holy grail if you will - Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. I may never buy another foundation, for I know it would never live up to this beacon-of-bases-light. Light to medium coverage, lightweight, seamless, the list goes on. Shade 2 is my preferred, and unsurprisingly the lightest in the relatively extensive range. Two words - BUY IT.

Struggles of living in the southern hemisphere no.1 as far as I'm concerned is no Boots or Superdrug. This trio of blushes in Lace were my first foray into powder cheek products and so far I'm loving it. Crochet, Guipure and Chantilly are the three über pigmented shades of corally-pink wonderfulness. With two matte and one shimmer this is sure to float everyones boat in some way, and between you and me? I think we've got a Nars Orgasm dupe on our hands in the form of 'Guipure'...
